Capzasin Caused a Burning Sensation that Did Not Go Away
From May to July I was suffering from Shingles. I asked the doctor if there was some topical ointment or cream that would help with the pain associated with Shingles. She suggested Capzasin. My husband went and picked up the Capzasin No-Mess Applicator. I had him pick up a small container to see whether it would help or not. When he got it home I decided to read all the information that was on the bottle.
This is from off of the container:

Osteoarthritis of the Thumb: Treatments and Surgery
About 2 1/2 years ago I started have pain in the fatty section of my palm of my right hand. It would come and go. At that time taking Ibuprofen and resting my hand worked. Then for awhile I had no problems with my thumb at all. It would come and go. The pain I could tolerate and I was able to still use my hand. Slowly the pain increased and using my thumb to pull up my slacks, cut my food, put my hair up, became difficult but, I managed as the pain was not severe. Finally I went into see my doctor and she referred me to a Orthopedic doctor. I went in for my appointment and Dr. G. had me make a fist, try to squeeze his hand, have me try to pick things up with my thumb and index finger which was very painful and hard to accomplish. He decided to try to treat the joint with an injection of Cortisone directly into the joint of my thumb that attaches to my hand. This was rather painful but I could feel the joint expanding. He said that if I had anymore pain with in the next 2 weeks to come back and he would use and x-ray machine to view my thumb while injecting another round of cortisone. More...

Alzheimer's & Parkinson's: A Fate Worse Than Death, Part 1
By Mary Lynn 321At the end of January 2004 my Mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in the early stages. I knew something was wrong after I started my new job and Mom would stop by everyday to visit. I started in September and Mom was just fine but, by October I started to see a decline in her memory. Then one day I got a phone call from Mom, which was very rare, asking me if I could loan her some money to pay off a bounced check.

If you are 50 years older or older, Please contact your physician immediately and ask about the vaccine to prevent Shingles. This is a very painful disease. I can stand a lot of pain but, Shingles (which they call Zosters Herpes - comes from the Chicken Pox virus that stayed in your spinal system after they were gone, and something triggers it. Which follows a path along your nerve endings. You can have debilitating pain and itching, numbness, and a rash that reminds you of Chicken Pox.
My husband had Shingles in April . His Shingles started on his Neck and spread to his shoulder and chest (he was given Valtrex for 7 days taken 3 times a day. Cost $180 for 21 pills) . Mine started in May. My Shingles started with uncontrollable itching on my thigh for over 24 hours. Then the next day my lower back (right below my waist) felt like it went out and I was in extreme pain and a burning feeling. The next step was numbness on my thigh from right above my knee to 3/4 the way up my thigh. From there it went to breaking out on my lower back and thigh, which then spread to my hip and more over the top and sides of my thigh to my knee. I received the same prescription as my husband, plus pain medication and a neurapathy medication to hopefully prevent permanent damage of the nerves. The pain was horrendous, unrelenting at times, and debilitating. My pain would start at my lower back below the waist to my hip and down the sides and top of my thigh past my knee. The pain shoots from my back to my knee and was a constant stabbing pain.

4-H Service: Something to Keep the Kids Out of Trouble
I was a 4-H Leader for over 25 years. Volunteering as parent, project leader, Main Leader, volunteering at the County Level as a Secretary to the 4-H Leaders Board, member of the Camp Operations Committee, newsletter, record books, Arts and Recreation Committee. Dances, camping and more.
When I was a kid I was unable to join 4-H because I lived in the city. So when we had our Children we decided that they were going to be a part of 4-H.
4-H is not only for the Country Kids anymore. It is open to all kids in the city as well as different ethnic groups. There are so many advantages to being a 4-H member. Each club has it's own Project Leaders, helpers, and Main leaders. The officers are the kids themselves. They run the meetings with a Leader close by in case they need help. Roberts Rules Of Order are used, as well as the US Flag Pledge, and the 4-H Pledge. The 4 H's; I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to better service, and my health to better living.
4-H is open to boys and girls and the clubs are no longer separate. All you need to open a Club is 2 families and 5 children. The 4-H program is affiliated with your County Extension Program which is affiliated by your university as ours is with UW Madison.
